EL-LANGCONVPROJECT - Learner conversations as models of spoken language in second language German

Herzlich willkommen!

Learner Conversations

Welcome to the open access materials page of the Learner Conversations as Models of Spoken Language in Second Language German project!

The project is funded by a British Academy grant (TDA21\210031) and led by Dr Chris Jones (principal investigator) and Dr Ulrike Bavendiek (co-investigator) at the University of Liverpool. The research assistant is Dr Sandra Strigel.

The materials are aimed at learners of German from beginners' (A1) to intermediate level (B2). They were recorded by students of German studying at higher levels. The conversations are not scripted, and this means that each conversation will contain minor errors in grammar and lexis. These have been corrected in the amended version of the transcript where appropriate.  The names used in the transcripts are pseudonyms.
