Occassionally you may find that a course 'shell' (coursespace) is missing from your Canvas account. For standard taught modules these are created automatically in Canvas with the correct enrolments based upon scheduling data in Curriculum Manager and student enrolment data in Banner, that then pass through TULIP before being created/actioned in Canvas (all different university systems). If there are problems in the data then this can cause problems with those courses being created in Canvas with the correct enrolments. Normally resolving these issues are trivial once the needed information is provided, and course creation/enrolment is then inacted the next time the automated 'data feeds' run (typically every night).

But before concluding that this there is an issue it is worth checking another couple of areas - you may be enrolled on the course already but looking in the wrong place...

If the course does not appear on your Dashboard, have you also checked your full 'All Courses' list? (95% of issues)

The Dashboard will only display a limited number of courses from the current academic year. To see all of your course enrolments look in your All Courses area. Using the same area you can also 'favourite' a course to make it appear as a shortcut card on your Dashboard. Through providing support we know that this trips up nearly all users who are getting used to Canvas.

Does the course exist in Canvas but you're just not enrolled on it?

If one of your colleagues can see the course in Canvas (either because they can access it or have departmental admin rights to be able to see it) then it might simply be that you are not enrolled on it. Staff enrolments take place automatically based upon the data in Curriculum Manager, so if you are missing your enrolment then it would be worth asking whoever deals with module specifications in your area to double check you are listed correctly.

If all else fails

If the course exists in Curriculum Manager and you are enrolled against it, then it may be another issue that is causing the feeds through the various systems to fail and may require some support from the relevant student systems teams to help troubleshoot. In this case you or your colleagues would need to raise a support query through the ServiceDesk (itservices@liverpool.ac.uk), providing as much specific details as you can provide to ensure that the call is redirected to the appropriate team more efficiently.
