How to request to be a Panopto Departmental Administrator
Departmental Administrations rights in Panopto can be requested by University staff with the approval of their Head of School/Department.
Users assigned the Departmental Administrator role in Panopto have the power to more effectively support colleagues with the management of their Panopto recordings in their own Schools or Departments.
The role enables users access to functionality not available to standard users. For example Departmental Administrators can access view and download usage stats, copy videos to/from folders, move videos to/from folder, share videos/folders and delete videos and playlists within their Departments/Schools without the need for external support.
